Dr. Chris Tonozzi is the Founder of Go Vasectomy and has been successfully performing vasectomies since 1994.
Dr. Tonozzi received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1987 and did his family medicine residency training at the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine. He is board eligible in Family Medicine. He has been doing no-scalpel vasectomies since he was trained in them during residency training in 1994. He started Go Vasectomy LLC in 2020 in order to excel in the number of vasectomies he is providing, and be among the most experienced providers in the nation. He is providing 50 vasectomies per month.
Dr. Tonozzi has done both clinic and hospital-based medicine as well as numerous administrative roles during his career. He helped found the federally qualified health center, Mountain Family Health Centers, in Glenwood Springs in the late 90’s, which has grown to include clinics in Rifle, Basalt and Avon. He has held Medical Director, Quality Improvement Director, and Information Technology Director roles as well as providing clinical care at Mountain Family Health Centers since 1999. He has been active on the staff and provided hospital care at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.
He is fluent in Spanish and has enjoyed a following among Latino members of the community.
Dr. Tonozzi is married and has two grown children. When not working at Go Vasectomy, he enjoys time with family and friends backcountry skiing, nordic skiing, mountain biking, swimming, hiking, running, kayaking, traveling and cooking.
